Shannon Battle (00:04):
Hello everyone and welcome to this edition of IPC’s Vendor Advantage Network Preferred Vendor Spotlight Video. We are following along with our current focus of point-of-care solutions, and today I have the pleasure of sitting down with SiteLabs. They’re one of our preferred vendors, some of you may or may not already be familiar with. Today we’re going to be talking about driving growth through clinical services for independent pharmacies—something many of you have been wanting to expand into. Hopefully you’ll get more information that will help.
My name is Shannon Battle. I’m the Services Manager here at Independent Pharmacy Cooperative. I manage the Vendor Advantage Network and work with vendors like SiteLabs to bring you the best business practices, clinical programs, and retailers on the market.
I’m excited to be here with both Paige Ralson and Lauren Raby. They’re going to share all the great things they have available with SiteLabs. Ladies, I’ll turn it over to you to tell us a bit about yourselves and SiteLabs.
Paige Ralson (01:02):
Great, thank you Shannon. We’re happy to be here. As Shannon mentioned, we’re with SiteLabs and excited to bring clinical opportunities to our independent pharmacy partners. I’m Paige Ralson, Clinical Services Coordinator at SiteLabs. I’ve been here four years and in that time I’ve worked with several independent pharmacies to bring point-of-care testing, expand testing services, and introduce other clinical opportunities.
Lauren Raby (01:35):
Hello everyone, my name is Lauren Raby. I’m the Marketing Manager for SiteLabs. I’ve been with the company for about three years. Not only am I helping SiteLabs market our business, but we also help independent pharmacies market theirs. That’s often a missing piece in the industry, and it’s so important. As we go through our products, services, and model, keep in mind that we’re here to help you grow your business—and marketing plays a key role in that. I’m very excited to be here and to support independent pharmacies.
Shannon Battle (02:10):
I love that. Like you said, Lauren, many companies don’t provide marketing support. Stores get excited about programs, but then don’t know how to get the word out. I’m glad you’re here—thank you.
Lauren Raby (02:24):
Thank you, Shannon.
Paige Ralson (02:25):
Yes, thank you Shannon.
Shannon Battle (02:26):
Alright, let’s jump right in.
Paige Ralson (02:29):
As we mentioned, our goal is to turn everyday foot traffic into new revenue. Today we want to discuss three opportunities: at-home (OTC) testing, point-of-care testing, and clinical trial recruitment through independent pharmacies.
On the next slide we’ll jump into ordering. Through SiteLabs, you can order OTC or POC test options. If you don’t have an account with us, you can go to our website, www.sitelabsglobal.com, and click “My Account” in the top right corner to register. We’ll ask for some basic pharmacy information—your name, email, password, and buying group. Be sure to list IPC as your buying group so you can access IPC pricing.
Shannon Battle (03:42):
So once they log in, they can see both regular and IPC pricing, right?
Paige Ralson (03:47):
That is correct.
Shannon Battle (03:53):
Okay.
Paige Ralson (03:57):
For at-home testing options gearing up for respiratory season, we have FlowFlex—including a new combo test for COVID-19 and flu A/B. You can order by the case for discounts, or as single tests. Orders over 120 tests ship free.
We also offer CoreDX, another COVID-19 + flu A/B combo test, available as single units. Again, free shipping over 120. These are great to stock in-store for patients to take home, especially ahead of respiratory season.
Shannon Battle (04:55):
I did see the CoreDX did very well last year—good to see it back this year.
Paige Ralson (05:00):
Yes. For point-of-care tests, pharmacies need a CLIA waiver. If you don’t already have one, you can apply through CMS. Once approved, you can order POC tests from us to use in the pharmacy.
We have a cardio check bundle for lipid panels and glucose, and we recommend starting with that bundle. Once you have the device, you can reorder supplies as needed.
We also have A1C kits (20 tests per box) that deliver results in about five minutes—another great service. And for respiratory season, we offer flu A/B, flu + COVID combos, strep, RSV, mono, and more.
Shannon Battle (06:51):
That’s great—each pharmacy can really tailor services to their community’s needs.
Paige Ralson (06:58):
Absolutely.
Shannon Battle (06:59):
Now, I know you’ve got something new and exciting launching with clinical trials. Can you share more?
Paige Ralson (07:10):
Yes, we’re excited to announce SiteLabs is enabling independent pharmacy partners to participate in clinical trial recruitment. Our first project will focus on colorectal cancer screening.
We’ve made it simple to integrate into pharmacy workflows. Pharmacies will identify eligible patients based on inclusion/exclusion criteria we provide. You can either:
Use standard pre-screening, where you give patients a flyer/QR code to complete screening on their own, or
Use hybrid pre-screening, where you walk through 10–15 questions with the patient and get consent to be contacted.
Pharmacies receive higher reimbursement for hybrid pre-screening, and once the patient is successfully enrolled in a trial, you get paid.
Shannon Battle (09:12):
That sounds like a pretty easy workflow. Pharmacies can reach out directly or use the QR code for more info, correct?
Paige Ralson (09:20):
Absolutely. That’s a high-level overview, but interested pharmacies can scan the interest form QR code, fill it out, and we’ll set up a detailed meeting.
Shannon Battle (09:35):
Awesome. I love that stores can choose how involved they want to be.
Paige Ralson (09:40):
Exactly. And this is just our first clinical trial—we expect several more this year.
Shannon Battle (09:48):
That’s exciting. Before we wrap up, are there any marketing tactics you’ve seen work especially well for pharmacies implementing these programs?
Lauren Raby (10:06):
Yes—one of the most effective strategies is simply talking with patients. Independent pharmacists know their patients personally, and that trust is powerful.
At SiteLabs, we support pharmacies with flyers, signage, and campaigns to help start those conversations and build trust in the community. Our goal is not just to sell tests, but to support pharmacies in every step of implementation.
Shannon Battle (11:17):
That’s great. We want stores prepared for cold and flu season—not just with stock on hand, but with education and resources to engage patients. Thank you both for sharing this information.
For those watching, Paige’s contact info is on screen, along with a QR code linking to IPC’s landing page. Fill out the contact form and Paige or Lauren will follow up.
Thank you both for being here, and thank you all for watching. I hope everyone has a successful pharmacy week.
Lauren Raby (12:05):
Thank you so much, Shannon.
Shannon Battle (12:07):
Thanks. Bye.
