Digital Health Update:
What You Need to Know

Published: April 16, 2026

We’re excited to share an important update as we reintroduce and evolve IPC’s Digital Health offering designed to better support your pharmacy, your team, and your patients.

As of April 1, the iCare+ platform has been formally retired as part of our move toward a more streamlined, scalable Digital Health experience. This evolution allows us to reduce onboarding burdens, simplify operations, and deliver more modern solutions that better align with how pharmacies and patients want to engage today.

Why Have We Made These Changes?

You spoke — and we listened.

  • You value the option of offering telehealth, but our previous solution did not meet the needs of your pharmacy or your patients. The iCare+ app was cumbersome, and the experience fell short of expectations.
  • For pharmacies offering ScriptPass, patients see value in cash‑pay options, while many stores also offer their own cash loyalty programs.
  • You told us that reducing delivery costs or adding delivery that complements what you already have matters, as long as it’s easy to implement.
  • Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) proved to be a complex integration, and our system and support did not rise to the standard we expect to deliver. As a result, we sunset our specific RPM program. We are actively working with our Pharmacy Services team to offer opportunities for additional support for members. More to come!

We’re grateful to the members who shared candid and critical feedback. We took it seriously, carefully evaluating new solutions, updating existing offerings, and committing to ongoing adjustments where they add value.

Introducing Our New Telehealth Solution

As we prepare for a May 1 launch, we’re excited to introduce Doctronic, IPC’s new AI‑powered telehealth platform and the next step in our Digital Health journey. Built to be simple and intuitive, Doctronic helps patients access care quickly and affordably, while keeping the experience easy for pharmacy teams.

Here’s what pharmacies and patients can expect:

  • Easy access to care through a straightforward online experience with visit‑scheduling options
  • Affordable visits, with transparent cash‑pay pricing starting at $39 and acceptance of most major commercial insurance plans
  • A continued connection between care and dispensing, helping route prescriptions back to your pharmacy and keep care within your community

What we’re seeing so far reinforces a smoother experience and meaningful improvements compared to our prior telehealth offering. At the same time, we recognize that launching any new solution is an ongoing process. No platform is perfect on day one, which is why staying closely connected to member and patient feedback remains central to long‑term success.

These conversations continue to provide perspective from:

  • Pharmacy teams, sharing feedback on usability and workflow fit
  • Patients, weighing in on clarity, navigation, and ease of use
  • The Doctronic team, partnering closely with IPC’s Digital Health team to support continuous improvement

Expanding Your Digital Health Toolkit

This evolution goes beyond telehealth. IPC’s Digital Health offering includes solutions some members may already be familiar with, and in this next phase, we’re focused on broadening access and better connecting these tools across the IPC network. Like telemedicine, Uber Direct Delivery and ScriptPass are available to both IPC GPO members and affiliates, creating a more consistent and accessible experience.

Together, these offerings reflect a more connected, practical Digital Health ecosystem—built to reduce friction and support how pharmacies serve patients today.
