Get to Know Your Account Manager: Kristopher Boyer

For Kristopher Boyer, independent pharmacy has always been about more than purchasing strategies and product sourcing. It is about people.

As an Account Manager with IPC Warehouse, Kristopher works with independent pharmacies across Southern California, Arizona, and Utah. While helping pharmacies improve their purchasing approach is certainly part of the job, what he enjoys most is building relationships with the owners and teams he serves every day.

“I enjoy getting to know my customers,” Kristopher says. “Learning what they like, what they don’t like, how their families are doing, what their goals are for the pharmacy, and what concerns they have for their employees and communities helps me serve them better.”

That relationship-first mindset shapes every conversation he has. By understanding each pharmacy’s unique challenges and goals, Kristopher can provide recommendations that align with what matters most to their business.

Helping Pharmacies Work Smarter

The Power of the Independent Pharmacy Community

While Kristopher enjoys helping pharmacies improve their purchasing strategies, one experience stands out as a reminder of why independent pharmacy relationships matter so much.

A pharmacy he worked with was expecting a shipment containing medication urgently needed for a cancer patient preparing to leave the hospital. When the package was lost in transit, time became critical.

Rather than accepting the delay, Kristopher immediately began reaching out to other independent pharmacies in the area. Through a network of trusted relationships, he located a pharmacy that had the medication in stock and was willing to loan it until a replacement shipment could arrive.

The solution required coordination, communication, and a willingness among multiple pharmacies to help one another.

“It took a lot of teamwork,” Kristopher recalls. “Not just between me and that store, but with other pharmacies that were willing to step in and help.”

For him, the experience reflects something bigger than a single successful outcome. It demonstrates the strength of the independent pharmacy community and the collaborative spirit that allows pharmacies to continue serving patients, even when unexpected challenges arise.

A Resource Beyond Ordering

Kristopher views his role as more than helping pharmacies place orders. He strives to be a trusted resource who can help owners think strategically about purchasing, connect them with valuable programs, and provide support when challenges emerge.

Whether discussing GCR performance, evaluating brand purchasing opportunities, or helping solve an urgent problem, his focus remains the same: helping independent pharmacies succeed.

Because when pharmacy owners have the right tools, resources, and support behind them, they can focus on what they do best, caring for their patients and communities.
