Today’s patients expect convenience. Independent pharmacies are balancing those expectations while facing staffing challenges, growing prescription volumes, and increasing pressure to differentiate from competitors.
The Lansworth PharmaSelf 24 self-service pickup kiosk helps pharmacies meet those challenges by providing secure, automated prescription pickup access beyond normal business hours. Patients can conveniently retrieve prescriptions in seconds, while pharmacy teams streamline workflow and focus more time on patient care.
In this IPC Vendor Spotlight, you’ll hear directly from Lansworth about how the PharmaSelf 24 works, available integration options, and how IPC member pharmacies are using the technology to enhance patient convenience, increase after-hours access, and create a competitive advantage in their markets. You’ll also learn about customization options, proof-of-pickup capabilities, and potential tax advantages available through Section 179.
Whether you’re looking to improve operational efficiency, support shift workers and busy patients, or extend pharmacy services without extending staff hours, this webinar will help you determine if automated prescription pickup is the right fit for your pharmacy.
Watch the recording to see how pharmacies are using self-service prescription pickup to enhance patient access, improve workflow, and strengthen their position in the community.

Yeah.
Hello and welcome. My name is Shannon Battle, and I’m the Pharmacy Services Manager here at IPC. Today, we’ve got a treat for all of the viewers who are still looking for that wow factor to bring to your pharmacy, something that is going to draw attention, ease your workflow, and really open up some new patient opportunities. Today, we’re talking about Lansworth PharmaSelf, the self-service kiosk.
IPC partnered with Lansworth back in November of last year, and we have seen steady growth and steady interest among stores. Today, I really want to hear directly from the source what our stores should know and how they can get started easily. Emily, thank you for being here. I am excited to hear more, and I know you have all the details our stores are looking for. Please give us the introduction, and let’s hear it.
Emily Oden 1:12
Hi, Shannon. I appreciate the warm welcome. My name is Emily Oden. I am a National Account Manager with Lansworth.
A little background on Lansworth: We have been installing banking self-service equipment, such as ATMs, since 2007. In 2024, we started selling the PharmaSelf 24 to pharmacies and hospitals. As of last November, we are now a trusted IPC vendor. Our manufacturing partner is based in Italy. They got a big start in the Netherlands, and now they have over 800 units installed throughout Europe, the UK, Australia, Dubai, and the U.S. We are the sole U.S. distributor for the PharmaSelf 24.
Why did the PharmaSelf 24 get started? For various reasons, such as staffing shortages, 24/7 after-hours access, extended pickup access for patients, greater convenience, and a decrease in prescription abandonment. These are just a few of the reasons that we’ve heard.
We have two units: the Multi and the Compact. The larger of the two units is the Multi. It has 178 bins. This side that you see here is made up of all small bins. The doors open the same way on the other side, with medium and large bins. You can put multiple prescriptions within these bins.
On the right, you see the Compact unit. This has a smaller footprint and holds a smaller volume of prescriptions. We generally configure it with around 80 bins, which is a combination of small and large bins.
This is a look at how the Multi looks when installed. It is kept within the four walls of your pharmacy. The pharmacist loads the prescriptions into the kiosk with a barcode scanner. With this barcode scanner, you will be able to see where your prescriptions are located. Once they’re scanned into the kiosk, the patients receive a customized six-digit code.
The patients come up to the outside of the building and type the code into the screen. You’ll see there is an image-capture camera above the screen, so that will capture the image as well as the signature. Once this information is collected and stored back in the pharmacy management system, the patient will be able to grab their prescription, and they’re on their way.
With this safe, secure, and seamless pickup experience, this is how it looks. Once the prescription is loaded into the kiosk, the patient can come up and retrieve it within seconds.
This is an example of some of the texts and how they might look. In the first one, you would opt your patients into using the kiosk. The second one is the code that I mentioned. In the third one, you can send reminder texts to your patients.
For payments at the kiosk, you can use a card on file, use a third party such as Nimble, or use a card reader on the kiosk and pay at the kiosk.
As for direct integrations, we currently have direct integrations with SRX, PioneerRx, Liberty Software, and Outcomes.
Shannon Battle 5:00
Emily, for a store that may not use any of those PMS providers, do you have any planned integrations with additional PMS providers?
Emily Oden 5:12
Yes, of course. We continue to develop more direct integrations as we grow. If you are not using one of these pharmacy management systems, we have software engineers who can develop more integrations.
Shannon Battle 5:31
Okay.

As I wrap up here, I just wanted to highlight some of our current IPC members who have seen benefits from having the PharmaSelf 24 installed. Here, you’ll see Hometown Drug. They are down in Texas, and Diane came by our booth at the McKesson show, talked with us, and explained how she has been loving it so far.
We have Xycam Pharmacy down in Texas. Alex sent us a message the other day saying, ‘I have no issues. I just wanted to let you know how much we love the kiosk.’
And then, Pucci’s Pharmacy out in California.
Shannon Battle 6:17
I love how seamless these look in front of the stores. Do you all help with design, wraps, or any kind of marketing for the front of the kiosk to change the look for stores?
Emily Oden 6:28
Yeah. After we meet with you, we will put you in contact with our marketing team, and they will create custom wraps with you. If you want your logo on the kiosk, a QR code to help patients get signed up, or the simple three easy steps of how it works, those are all things that we would incorporate. If you don’t want any wrapping, we can certainly do that. It’s completely up to you. We want you to love the kiosk and make it yours.
Shannon Battle 6:59
Okay.

IPC recently did a success story on Aubrey Pharmacy. In this story, he explains how he has been benefiting from and using the PharmaSelf 24 as a competitive edge, allowing him to extend his service hours without extending his workday.
I will link this story, as well as some of our other resources. This is our YouTube page, and we have other customer testimonials on it. We have videos showing how the pickup process looks and how to load prescriptions into the kiosk.
The last thing I have is that some of the pharmacies we’ve worked with have taken advantage of Section 179, which is a tax incentive. The PharmaSelf 24 qualifies for this, and we are happy to provide more information on it as well.
Shannon Battle 7:59
Stores still have plenty of time to utilize that for the 2026 tax year, correct?
Emily Oden 8:05
Yes, of course.
Shannon Battle 8:08
All right, perfect. You mentioned a few of our success stories with the stores that have already completed installation. I followed up with some of those stores and talked to them myself. I’ve heard the repeated message of the ease of workflow. They’ve been able to increase their auto-refills and 90-day fills and provide after-hours access for people like shift workers. Those are some of the repeated stories that we’re hearing. It really demonstrates the value of the investment these stores are making.
There are multiple stores where IPC has already had units installed this year, and a few installations are currently in the works. We’re hoping to hear more of these repeated stories and even some new opportunities and ideas.
One of the big questions I hear from stores that initially reach out is, of course, that you’re going to look into multiple options when you’re considering an investment like this. What are some of the main or priority questions that stores should be asking when they’re looking for a solution like this for their store?
Emily Oden 9:11
Yeah, I briefly touched on it earlier in the presentation, but something that is so important with the PharmaSelf 24 is track and traceability. With direct integrations, it is able to capture images and signatures. That information is stored back in the kiosk as proof of delivery or proof of pickup.
Shannon Battle 9:35
Perfect. Thank you, Emily. I really appreciate the better insight into what stores can expect from Lansworth. I know that if they reach out and schedule a call or demo with you, you can go over IPC-specific pricing and timelines for installation, which are absolutely fabulous and a lot shorter than you would think for such a large endeavor.
Adding a kiosk like Lansworth’s is such a huge change-maker in pharmacy and really opens up many opportunities that you may not think of in the beginning. For any viewers who are interested in learning more, getting a demo, or just asking questions in general, there are QR codes here on the screen.
They’ll take you to IPC’s landing page for Lansworth and to additional resources. You can also reach out to any of us directly for those. Again, thank you, Emily, and everyone. I hope you have a fantastic day.
Emily Oden 10:29
Thank you, Shannon.
