Gov. Cuomo Surprisingly Vetoes PBM Regulation Bill

Jan 03, 2020

As you most likely are aware, in a last minute maneuver giving in to PBM and Health Plan opposition, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo unexpectedly vetoed the PSSNY led FIXRX coalition PBM regulation bill (S6531) to hold PBM's accountable in order to protect taxpayers, pharmacy patients and their community pharmacy providers.

IPC is supporting the grassroots effort of PSSNY and FIXRX coalition rally in support of the bill sponsors who are pursuing the option of a veto override or other legislative action to bring this bill back. To that end, IPC urges all our NY members to show their support for S6531 by attending a FIXRX rally at Albany's Empire State Plaza concourse on January 8 at 9 a.m. before the Governor's State of the State address.

Register Now! Store owners along with patient advocacy groups, allied health professionals, pharmacy students and other stakeholders are needed for this event!
